• Extremely useful.

• Good visuals.

• I was too sleepy to enjoy the whole thing, but it was quite informative.

 


2. How did you learn about this program (newspaper, organizational newsletter, radio, TV, from a friend, flyer, poster, etc.)?

[all respondents learned of it through the Center for Pacific Island Studies]

 


3.  For you, what were the most worthwhile parts or aspects of the program?

• I had a chance to view different parts of the website in order to formulate ideas for using the program for instruction. Also, program provided lesson plans with various types/levels of questions including standards addressed. I can’t wait for this to be completed in more islands.

• Program was “hands-on”.

• Diving into the Pacific Worlds website and trying out the activities.

• Being able to go to sites that will be easy for students.

• Teacher’s Resource Guide.

• Learning how to navigate the website.

• Pure information and resources.

• Themes, questioning exercises, and interdisciplinary approach.

• Lesson plans for teaching.

• Navigating through the program.

• Time to go through the program.

• “Hands-on” approach.

• Practical use in classroom.

• Computer knowledge.

• Ways to use websites in schools.

• Easy navigation, quality and quantity of information, education links and helps, applicable to the classroom and teaching using the standards.

• Need more time applying the program to the classroom setting.

• Needs to incorporate more of the Micronesia, and up and coming need-to-know area.
