1.  Other Comments

• I hope to see more sites on the Pacific Worlds. There was very informative stuff.

• My first time to learn about these websites and there was great information for Hawaiian educators.

• Time was limited but it covered all basics well for further information outside of class.

• Many links in the site were not working.

2. How did you learn about this program (newspaper, organizational newsletter, radio, TV, from a friend, flyer, poster, etc.)?

[all respondents learned of it through the NHEA program schedule]

3.  For you, what were the most worthwhile parts or aspects of the program?

• Information on a fairly wide range of subjects.

• Learning new ideas.

• Learning about the website and the exercises that can be used for teaching.

• The handout explaining and providing curriculum.

• Learning tools and information via a website, and can bring to classroom.

• Everything about the program was interesting, encouraging, and inspiring.

• Learning about the resource material this provides to help younger Hawaiians lear about their ‘aina.

• The format, content, versatility of use of material, availability of curriculum and further resources, alignment to standards.

• The “value” based presentation of the subjects rather than “fact” based.

• Resources I can use now in my class.

• Knowledge about the site and how the information was collected, to be comparable to other islands.

• Usefulness of program, richness of content, and scope of project presented.

• Exploring the Pacific Worlds website.

4.  What were the least worthwhile parts?

• None.

• Found discrepancies (but it is an ongoing project).

5. Please feel free to comment below on any aspect of the program. Thank you for your assistance.

• Very good presentation.

• It was very informative. It got my juices flowing….like how we can apply this to home; perhaps do our own ahupua‘a, our own website….very cool.

• I would like to see more sites up. Other than that, it was a good job and keep up the good work.

• (1) Expand upon Pacific Worlds and update Hawaiian portion;
(2) Mored details, info: moku, ahupua‘a, kapu system, etc.

• I enjoyed attending this workshop because it related to what I do as a kupuna working with K-2nd grade students. Mahalo for your knowledge and expertise.

• Keep up the good work!!!
