As part of our educational program, Pacific Worlds invites scholars from the Pacific to contribute essays on particular themes relevant to this project. These essays are intended to explore and reflect on issues and topics that are relevant to the entire region. They are to provide background, insights and depth to our understanding of Pacific Island cultures.

The overall approach of Pacific Worlds is the broadening of our understanding of culture and human-environment relations in the region. These essays are provided as further tools towards that end.
